Monterey Bay Aquarium crew work by the ocean pen off Malibu, CA, on Aug 25, 2004, where the young Great White Shark was held for three weeks after its capture and before being transported to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The Monterey Bay Aquarium put a female Great White Shark on exhibit in a million-gallon aquarium on September 14, 2004, three weeks after she was inadvertently caught in a commercial fishing net off Huntington Beach in Southern California. There are no other Great White Sharks on display in the world today, and no aquarium has ever exhibited a Great White Shark for more than 16 days.
