Manny Ezcurra, Senior Aquarist at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, feeds the young female Great White Shark on Nov 23, 2004, with slices of salmon attached to a pole.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium put a female Great White Shark on exhibit in a million-gallon aquarium on September 14, 2004, three weeks after she was inadvertently caught in a commercial fishing net off Huntington Beach in Southern California. There are no other Great White Sharks on display in the world today, and no aquarium has ever exhibited a Great White Shark for more than 16 days.
