Dive Safety Officer, Gil Falcone, in his steel scuba equipment that he uses to protect himself from possible shark attacks when he dives in the Outer Bay Exhibit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The Monterey Bay Aquarium put a female Great White Shark on exhibit in a million-gallon aquarium on September 14, 2004, three weeks after she was inadvertently caught in a commercial fishing net off Huntington Beach in Southern California. There are no other Great White Sharks on display in the world today, and no aquarium has ever exhibited a Great White Shark for more than 16 days.
