File picture taken in 1975 by MGySgt John Valdez, The Last US Marine In Saigon, of the vehicle gate (MSG Post #4) of the US Embassy in Saigo located on Mac Dinh Chi. The large tamarind tree seen in the picture was cut down with chain saws on April 29 to make room for the CH-53 helicopters to land. A large "H" was painted on the parking lot with luminous paint that would glow in the dark when the helicopters landed.
