Giant Kite Festival in Berkeley

Visitors admire giant kites in the shape of octopus, some of them 100 feet (30m) long and costing up to $5,000. Thousands of people came to watch the giant kites in action at the 20th Berkeley Kite Festival in Berkeley, CA, on July 30 and 31, 2005.
