Two California Brown Tarantulas mating. The male (R) uses his front legs to secure the female fangs so she can't use them on him. The annual Tarantula Festival takes place every October during the mating season at Coe Park in Morgan Hill, CA. Hundreds of visitors come to see, touch and learn more about the largest spiders on earth that usually inspire more fear and disgust than anything else.
